Before any work can begin, a full site investigation survey must be completed to determine the unique particularities of any property, such as ground conditions, future risks, the location of existing drains, a possible risk from toxic gases and the presence of other contaminants. After this inspection, Universal Basement Waterproofing Ltd will produce the design based on the site survey findings.

Universal Basement Waterproofing Ltd undertakes professional, detailed basement surveys, ensuring nothing is missed in our detailed site investigation, allowing us to provide an accurate diagnosis of the issues present.

Surveys are provided by our in-house, fully trained, highly experienced and Qualified Surveyors who are basement waterproofing experts. The survey typically costs £450.00+VAT which allows for the site visit itself and our comprehensive report including a full design and the price to complete the contract. Generally, when appointed to carry out a survey of the subject property one of our surveyors will spend the morning on site carrying out site-specific observations, taking measurements, and documenting potential issues with photographic records. They will also meet architects and designers to talk through any questions and discuss drawings or issues that may have arisen on-site. Once the survey has been carried out the report will then be produced. The report generally takes 2 days to produce after the initial site survey depending on the size of the project and the detail required. It is then reviewed by our Contracts Manager and then by the Directors and is available for issue within 10 days of the visit, or much sooner if agreed in advance. Some projects, when live, also require changes along the way, which are documented when the report is amended before re-issue.

Included within our reports are Internal and external observations on the day of the survey. From the moment we set foot at the property our surveyor will be carrying out a visual inspection of the area we have been requested to look at as well as having a general walk around the property for any issues that may be of concern with regard to property preservation.

All of our surveyors are highly experienced in waterproofing basements of every shape, size and depth and are qualified as a Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (C.S.S.W).

Universal Basement Waterproofing Ltd survey fee is subsidised and does not cover the entire cost and investment in delivering this crucial service. Our high standards are not achievable without this careful detailed thoughtful preparation, our Installers would not be able to achieve their high standards without this report and the extremely detailed CAD drawing. This process eliminates mistakes, saves time and helps all involved to plan.
